Welcome to our blog on awesome Lego sets. From the complex, to the recognizable, to the iconic, and flat-out fun sets that Lego has come with in recent years, here are some of our top picks that any adult can thoroughly enjoy themselves with for a few hours (or days! 😉 )
Harry Potter Hogwarts Castle (Set 71043)
What we love about Lego and the Harry Potter universe, is that there’s already a vast array of different parts that you can start putting together to have your own little piece of J.K. Rowling magic in your house.
Our top tip is definitely the Hogwarts Castle set. This flagship set consists of 6000+ pieces and allows you to recreate Hogwarts in the most realistic of ways. Aside from the iconic castle structure, there’s also miniature versions of 27 well-known characters included, representations of the Hufflepuff, Gryffindor, Slytherin, and Ravenclaw sections, and even things such as the Dementors, Aragog and the Basilisk.
Other sets to definitely check out for expanding your Harry Potter Lego Collection:
Star Wars Imperial Star Destroyer (Set 75252)
Need we say more? If there’s any collaboration by Lego that we can consider legendary, it just has to be the Star Wars universe. I remember as a kid having loads of these sets already, such as the AAT (Armored Assault Tank) of the Federation, as well as the Naboo Fighter (remember that yellow fighter jet?).
What has always been a big hole in my collection is of course the Death Star, which we’ll link you to in a little bit. However, our top tip here is the Imperial Star Destroyer set. Measuring more than a meter and consisting of nearly 5k pieces, this set is an impressive representation of this beloved and famous piece of machinery from the Star Wars films.

Lamborghini Sían FKP-37 (Set 42115)
In the world of cars, Lego has recently come with a brand new flagship set. The incredibly complex Lamborghini Sían FKP-37 set is the go-to challenge for a car loving Lego maniac. Clocking in at over 3500 pieces, this Lego Technic set is not only a very impressive look-alike of the real car, it is also hyper-realistic with all its moving components (including the Lamborghini door, of course!).
Some other top tips for cars/motor cycle sets:
Estadio Santiago Bernabéu (Set 10299)
A top tip coming from Lego itself in the Architecture genre, is the miniature model of the Real Madrid stadium Estadio Santiago Bernabéu. Clocking at a whopping near 6k pieces, this Iconic building is a great challenge for sports loving Lego builders.
If you have a great appreciation for Architecture, like we do here at Recontain, you may want to consider these other sets as well:
Nintendo Entertainment System (Set 71374)
Of course as video game enthusiasts, we couldn’t help but include some sets here that are based off of some of the most well known video game franchises out there!
If we’d have to pick one really cool set, it would have to be the Nintendo Entertainment System Building Kit.
This is a Lego replica of an old tv set with the iconic original NES (Nintendo Entertainment System), and the original Super Mario game displayed on the TV screen. We’re well and truly geeking out on this one with nostalgia!!
